飞盘的起源

The Origin of the Frisbee

19 世纪末，美国面包师William Russell Frisbie开了一家叫做Frisbie餐厅，他制作的馅饼深受周边大学生的欢迎，用餐结束后学生们经常通过相互投掷圆形的馅饼包装盒来进行娱乐。

 

At the end of the 19th century, American baker William Russell Frisbie opened a restaurant called Frisbie. His pies were very popular among the surrounding college students. After the meal, the students often played with each other by throwing round pie boxes at each other.

由于包装盒上印有“Frisbie”的 logo，所以学生们会在投掷时大喊“Frisbie”来提醒其他人注意躲避。“Frisbie（或者 Frisbee）”这个名称也一直沿用至今。

 

Because of the logo "Frisbie" printed on the box, students would shout "Frisbie" when throwing to remind others to avoid it. The name "Frisbie (or Frisbee)" is still used today.

在运动中，运动员需要冲刺、变向、折返、跳跃、接盘，有时候还要飞扑接盘，并且要准确地传给队友，失误时还要马上参与防守。可以说，飞盘是一项有着篮球的传球、足球的跑位、橄榄球的得分，集速度、有力的投掷和矫健的步伐于一身的运动。

 

When playing the game, athletes will sprint, change direction, turn back, jump, catch the Frisbee, and sometimes rush into it. They need to pass it to their teammates accurately. If they miss it, they need to be in defense immediately. It can be said that Frisbee is a sport that requires athletes to pass the Frisbee like basketball, run like playing football, earn scores like playing rugby. It is sport of speed, power and vigor.
